About this event
A play by Anton Chekhov
In the Russian countryside, 1904, Lubov Ranevsky returns to her estate with her family after five years in Paris. At the heart of the estate lies their famous, beautiful cherry orchard.
However, beneath the elegant surface, there is a problem: the family is bankrupt.
In a few short months, the entire estate, along with the cherry orchard, is to be sold at auction to pay off the family's debts. A newly wealthy merchant offers a solution, but there is a catch: the heart of their ancestry must be destroyed.
