About this event
Grad Ball is a charity fundraising event for SUSU - Charity Number: 1148683 registered in England & Wales. The proceeds from this event will be used to create a better Southampton University Students' Union.
It's time... you're invited to Grad Ball 2026 on Saturday 6 June 2026, from 19:00 - 02:00.
We're excited to bring you lots of entertainment and plenty of beautiful photo opportunities, with more details to be announced soon.
Grad Ball will take place at your students' union, which will be transformed for the celebration of your time at Southampton. The dress code is Dress to impress, so please dress however you see fit!
Below is an outline of each ticket tier:
Early Bird Tickets
On sale from 23 February for £24.00 + booking fee. - SOLD OUT
General Release Tickets
On sale NOW for £29.00 + booking fee.
Final Release Tickets
On sale from 2 May for £34.00 + booking fee.
Please note: Each ticket tier will remain on sale until the stated date or until all tickets within that tier have sold out, whichever comes first.
New £8 Food Ticket
This year, you can purchase an £8 Food Ticket to enjoy a tasty hot meal at the event. Food options will include items such as pizza, loaded fries, and more. There will also be gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian options available. Specific menu options will be confirmed closer to the event.
You will receive your food voucher upon entry, and will need to show this to redeem your meal. One voucher per student and/or guest.
Want to bring a guest?
Guest tickets will be released after all final‑year students have had the opportunity to purchase their own tickets.
Each student may bring one guest. Guest tickets must be purchased by the student using their university email.
To attend, you will need:
- Your own student ticket, and
- One guest ticket (if applicable)
Bag and Pocket Searches
Before you enter we will ask to search your bags and pockets - this is to ensure everyone's safety during our event.
Photography & Filming
Photography and filming will take place at this event. This content may be shared on social media, on our website, and in marketing materials. If you have any questions or concerns please contact sucomms@soton.ac.uk
Refund information
Once purchased, tickets cannot be transferred, exchanged, refunded or returned unless the event is cancelled, moved to another date, or if details of the event are significantly changed after an order is placed. Please see our full terms and conditions for further information.
Safety Information
- Before you enter, we will ask to search your bags and pockets - this is to ensure everyone's safety during our event. You will also be subject to a metal wand detection safety precaution.
- Student ID and Age Verification ID (regardless of age) are compulsory in order to enter the event. Please have this to hand.
- The safety bus will be running throughout the night and is free to use. Signage will direct you to the bus.
- If you feel overwhelmed or ill throughout the night, please see a member of staff who will direct you to the welfare space, or to first aid.
- Please note that there will be the use of flashing lights & strobes during the event.

This event will have loud music.
This event noise will be equal to a concert.
Capacity
We are expecting it to be a crowded event.
The capacity for this event is between 1,500 to 2,000 people.

There will be food to purchase at this event.

There is single stall, gender neutral and disabled toilets available at this event.

There are lifts and step-free access points available at all our events.
Safety Bus
The Safety Bus will be running from Crescent on Highfield Campus from 21:00 till 02:00.
British Sign Language
Unfortunately, we do not have the resources to provide BSL, however if you have your own support, they are more than welcome to join.
