Celebrate the spring season at our vibrant Suncatcher Painting Workshop!

In this workshop, we will provide you with different designs of suncatchers to take home with you after you paint them!  Create your own piece of art that catches the brightness of longer days.

This workshop will be held at 2nd May on Conconurse (inside SUSU building) from 2pm-4pm.

The defination of mature students: 

Students who are aged 21 and over, at the start of their undergraduate course, are defined as mature by the University of Southampton.

Are you a mature student looking for a refreshing break from your studies? Join us at our exclusive Plant-a-Plant Workshop in collaboration with the University of Southampton's Student Inclusion team, where you can take a step back from the textbooks and unleash your creativity!

At this workshop, you’ll have the chance to choose your own plant, creatively paint a pot to match your style and take it with you to decorate your home. This relaxing activity not only allows you to nurture a new green companion but also offers a wonderful opportunity to connect with fellow mature students who share your interests. 

When and where: 

The worshkop will be held in Concourse (inside the SUSU building) on 7th May from 12pm to 2pm. This is a completely family-friendly activity, and if you are a student parent who wishes to bring your children along to take part, you are welcome to do so. Just be sure to book tickets for your children as well!

Unleash your creativity and personalize your study space at our DIY Study Supplies Workshop! Join us for an afternoon of crafting where you’ll have the chance to create your very own custom pen pot, notebook, and stress ball.

Fancy some fresh air and explore nature? Join us for a day walking in the New Forest!

This time our Hillwalking Club will be leading a short walk around in the New Forest, this is a great chance to get into hillwalking and explore the local area. This area has plenty of woodland and scenery and of course the famous New Forest ponies!

The route will be 10km, friendly to beginners, and we will proceed at a fairly slow pace with our experienced club members. So don't worry about you can not catch us:)

What you need to prepare:

• You will need an off-peak day return to Brockenhurst which will cost £6.05 with a railcard or £9.20 without. We will be getting the train leaving Southampton Central at 09:00, but we recommend you arrive 20 minutes early (8:40) to meet up with the group and buy tickets if you have not done so already. 
• Walking boots if you have one, especially as this walk involves some countryside walking. If you do wear trainers or other footwear, you should expect some mud.
• At least 500ml of water (ideally 1litre)
• A packed lunch( you will be unable to buy lunch on route）
• A backpack to carry lunch and other items
• A raincoat (just in case)

About the ticket:

This walking is totally free but you need to book the train tickets by yourself.
